Situated in the same district as the capital of Sri Lanka, not so far away from the city Seethawaka botanical garden is one of the most beautiful places you can visit easily. It serves as a conservation area for many endemic plants under threat. It's wet lowland climate provides the ideal environment for these plants to thrive.Though it is established in the 20th centuray making it the latest constructed botanical garden in the island, it's vastly popular amongst both locals & foreigners due to it's location, comforting climate & breathtaking views. Home to some of the most scenic landscapes including mountains, plains , water falls, botanical gardens, lakes, reservoirs & vegetable fields Nuwara eliya is one of the chillest places in the country. Due to it's high elevation the climate is much cooler than other parts of the Island through out the year & the fertile lands make this is one of the main vgetable growing regions of the country. Nuwara eliya is renowned for i's tea fields & factories which produces iconic Ceylon tea regarded as the best tea in the whole world. Diversity of religions followed in the reigion is much high & fue to this reason one can witness calming Buddhist temples, colorful Hindu temples , iconic Islam mosques & colonial time catholic churches everywhere.

Lush greenery, vast bodies of water & wildlife is my idea of paradise ! Spanning between North Western & North Central provinces of Sri Lanka spreaded over a whopping 1316.671 square Kms Wilpattu national park ticks all the boxes. While it is most popular for the magnificent leopards roaming the forest in it's own amenable style majestic elephants roams the forest in herds while sloth bears hunt solo. A couple of varieties of monkeys shows off their playful tree to tree jumping skills while some do hanging acrobatic movements on high branches of giant trees. Crocodiles rule the waters no matter if it is a giant lake or a small pond. Yet you can witness big herds of fearless water buffaloes cooling off their bodies sunk in these waters. Peacocks are in abundance & if you look out for the skies there's always a falcon or an eagle eyeing down for pray flying silently. Deers are always found in big herds while wild boars are found in relatively small herds. A huge varie
